| 2011 Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance |
In between the Mille Miglia Tribute and SEMA we had an opportunity to visit the 25th annual Santa Barbara Concours in California. It was run by the Stratus Media Group for the first time and held in conjunction with the Mille Miglia Tribute.
The show's main draw was Peter Mullin's Figoni & Falaschi Delahaye and its sibling Bugatti which was made by Van Vooren as a copy. Supposedly, this show was the second time both cars were photographed together.
Among 200 or so other cars we found several nice examples including some that previously 'debuted' at Pebble Beach. Best of Show went to the 1936 Delahaye 135 Competition which is a regular sight on the West Coast and won the Quail event last year.
